bonniegrrl | Monetizing Grrl.com

Since I'm going to be strapped for cash while I live in a real apartment, I was thinking about truly monetizing my popular web site -- Grrl.com. I use Google search and text ads on the front page now which isn't really making much money (I'm not even up to $20 yet and I've had text ads for months now). I also have one text ad for Arsenia Diamonds someone paid for awhile back, though since I haven't seen any more $ from the person, I should probably take it down.

And I have some links to Amazon.com for selling books and music, and to my Grrl.com Cafepress store but that's not bring in much money either. I just don't know how to make any real money off the site.

For good karma points I also have links to two animal charities I like.

So for those of you who know the best way to make from personal web sites, please chime in with your ideas. I get a ton of traffic to Grrl.com and I'd like to see if I could start making some money from the traffic to the content I provide.
