There were plenty of Star Wars sights and events at this year's Bay Area Maker Faire, but for more adventure-seeking fans there was a rather interesting exhibit about some handmade Indiana Jones props made by "Mythbusters" host and former ILMer Adam Savage. He's such an Indy fan that he decided to make his own Indy bullwhip and Henry Jones Holy Grail Diary.

If you were tuned into the MTV Video Music Awards last night, you've heard -- the title to the fourth Indy movie is:

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull

Actor Shia LaBeouf, who joins the Indy cast for the saga's fourth installment, revealed the film's title last night while presenting an award at the VMAs.

To celebrate the return of Indiana Jones, and the fact that we can finally start calling the new movie something other than Indy IV, StarWarsShop is offering an exclusive t-shirt showcasing the new title -- and it's the only place you can get one!

Today director Steven Spielberg will shout "Action!" marking the return of the character who redefined cinematic action as cameras roll on the first day of principal photography on the new Indiana Jones adventure. Spielberg reunites with executive producer George Lucas and star Harrison Ford to bring the classic hero back to the big screen. It's the trio's first collaboration since the last film in the Indiana Jones, series, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade.

Shooting will continue throughout the summer before the film goes into post-production to be ready for its May 22, 2008 release. The new Indiana Jones film is a Lucasfilm Ltd. Production distributed by Paramount Pictures. Frank Marshall returns as producer with Kathleen Kennedy joining Lucas as executive producer.

Joining the cast is newcomer Shia LaBeouf, whose perspective on Indiana Jones is a bit unique among his fellow cast members: When Shia grew up, Indy was already a legend. We recently caught up with LaBeouf before cameras rolled, and he shared his thoughts about joining the Indy adventure.
