bonniegrrl: (t-rex)
Since we don't do bylines on starwars.com or IndianaJones.com, I'm gonna be a vain dork and give everyone here a heads' up on the recent articles I wrote that I'm pretty damn proud of.

So here ya go....

On starwars.com:
Han Solo Joins Forces in Mercenaries
First Look: New Hasbro Games

On IndianaJones.com:
Indiana Jones Lends a Hand in Mercenaries

Friday: Busy day from hell at work. Gave a pal of mine a tour of Skywalker (my first!) and then proceeded to speed through articles to meet mad deadlines, a meeting or two and then yoga at the gym. Later [livejournal.com profile] chefgrrl, [livejournal.com profile] ramblingretard and I met up with a few others to go to Celia's for some tasty Mexcian food and then to see Million Dollar Baby. It was okay. A bit too sentimental for my tastes. Plus there were some drunk teens a few rows ahead of us making way too much giggly noise for me to pay proper attention. The two guys a few seats off to the side of me kept checking their cell phone messages.

I just don't understand why people find it so hard to keep still/quiet during a movie. Does everyone have ADD? Are they all on crack? Or are people so rich these days that they are ultimately cool with wasting $11 oso they can fidget for 2 hours?
This is why I don't go to the theaters much anymore. If it's not teens talking on their cell phones, it's lazy parents who bring newborns to horror films. From now on it's just me and Netflix.

Saturday:
Too tired, in yoga pain and hungover to do much. Stayed home and watched telly as I cleaned the apatrment, organized papers and worked on freelance article pitches to send off. Ate more amazing Mexican food and sipped on a Horchata as I watched Grosse Point Blank on the telly. John Cusack -- I love you. [livejournal.com profile] lundergaard called from Tango Tango trying to get me to joing the Karaoke extravaganza, but since I was too tired and settled in for the evening I declined. Sounded like fun from the background noise though. Raincheck for sure!

Sunday:
Woke up late, ate my Waffle Crisp cereal and watched more telly. Then I got ready to attend Nick Tanborn's birthday party. It was great to see everyone again since I've been a bit of a workaholic and haven't hit my usual Mission Bar crawl. As the Super Bowl played on the wall outside with the aid of a projector, I chatted with my pals and got caught up on who was still with who, who got a new job and who got fired, and blah blah blah. I also met a cute little baby boy named Sunny who has the same birthday as me. Yea Cancerians!

3. Rick Springfield
4. Peter Parker (TV's "Spider-Man")
5. Ike Eisenmann from Return from Witch Mountain
